We are commencing our first phase of public consultation on the Spiorad na Mara offshore wind project in September. In advance of this, we have started to create awareness of the activities that will form part of it.
The first step is the delivery, by Royal Mail, of leaflets to all households and other properties across the HS1 and HS2 postcodes, a total of over 11,000 homes. This commenced on 26th August and will be completed by 06th September. These leaflets contain important information – dates, times and venues – about the events that will form part of this period of consultation.
Advertisements will also be placed in local media outlets in the weeks leading up to these events, to ensure widespread awareness. In addition, we will share details with local community organisations for sharing with their members.
We are committed to engaging with the community and gathering valuable feedback as the project progresses. This is another important step in that process.
