As 2025 comes to a close, it’s a good moment to reflect on the progress made across Spiorad na Mara.
This year has been an important one in moving the project closer towards delivery. Key activities during 2025 included completing three phases of public consultation, advancing environmental and consenting activities, making several project design changes following feedback received and launching a new scholarships programme. We also strengthened our supply chain engagement and continued constructive dialogue with regulators and stakeholders – more information can be found here.
None of this progress would have been possible without the experienced team behind the project and the collaboration and commitment of our partners, contractors and advisors.

Developing large-scale offshore projects wind is a complex, multi-year journey, and 2025 has laid strong foundations for the road ahead. As we look ahead to 2026, the focus will be on building on this momentum and submitting our planning applications early in the new year.
